Wukong, The Monkey King

Wukong is what is known in universe as a Vastaya, A race of bestial people who share a common ancestor of a species of mortals who took the power of the spirit realm into themselves. Wukong's tribe is that of Shimon, a monkey-like species who spent a majority of their time seeking wisdom until their deaths. Wukong was different from the rest of his tribe however, he preferred humor and martial skill rather than meditation. Through various antics his tribe would no longer deal with him and opted to exile him. Exiled and alone Wukong proclaimed himself "The Monkey King" and challeneged humans to all manners of duels be they physical or intellectual. Through this he met his Master and lifelong friend which would eventually give him new purpose in life.

The character Wukong is heavily based off Sun Wukong from the 16th century chinese novel "Journey to the West". Written by Wu Cheng'en it is considered one of the four great classic chinese novels next to "Romance of the Three Kingdoms"(another novel I am partial towards), "Water Margin", and "The Plum in the Golden vase". The novel blends mythology, folklore, adventure, and religion in its pages. It heavily relies on chinese Buddhism, Confucianism, as well as Taoism as the story is told. Wukong from League of Legends is not, the only popular character derived from this story either with perhaps the most popular influence coming in the form of Son Goku from the "DragonBall" series. Outside of that a strong argument can be made that most characters across media utilizing the monkey style of fighting or a bo staff are derived from the Monkey King himself.

In the game, Wukong can take on the roles of top, middle, or my main role, jungle. Being a champion that focuses on AD (attack damage), most of his scalings are based on that and his kit is well suited to jungle. Drawing from his novel influences his abilities are all recognizeable by people who's read the novel before from his hardening skin to his ability to create clones to use as decoys while he does something else. Iconicly his weapon is his power pole which can grow to extreme lengths for various purposes, in the game that takes the form of him extending it to attack at a range longer than his original range with the use of an ability.

Wukong Being an AD champion gains damage naturally as he levels up at a rate of 3.5 * level with a base number of 66, utilizing this calculator you can see what his AD would be at a given level. Normally the game stops at 18 but for the fun of it I will make this infinite.
